I'm still here in Seattle, with a little less than 2 months to go until I leave for Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Many of the not-so-fun things are done: first (and worst) round of vaccines, IRB approval for my research study, paperwork finished and sent to the organization where I'll be interning and doing research. So now I'm doing the fun prep work: meeting with people who have been to Kyrgyzstan recently and pumping them for info re: what to bring and expect. My sweet mama has been buying all kinds of things I could need, just to help make sure her baby is safe this summer. My husband is not one to worry about things until the time comes, and he has been so supportive.
More from me later, as the prep really begins....
