Long Awaited Excursion Photos!!

We took a million, billion photos on our excursion, so this post is culled down to the best hundred thousand. :-) Enjoy!
On the drive to the pier, we saw this sign. Look closely: Texas!

The junk we took from the pier up to Phang Nga Bay, a lovely, comfortable boat

Us, smiling aboard the junk out on the water

This is the junk we were on

Lowering the sails
Relaxing aboard the junk

Doing some reading

Smiling and relaxing onboard

View from between Tony's feet

Clouds and sailboats we passed by

Lovely, misty islands sticking up out of the ocean in Phang Nga Bay

Lovely green mountain we sailed past This is a longboat, like the one we took to the Muslim gyspy village
This is the village; see it's just floating on the ocean?!

More floating village

Tony posing with the tsunami sign for Bill :-)

Shots of the school and classrooms in the village for mama

Little kids in class; they wear yellow b/c it's Monday, which is the day to wear the king's color

The kids' soccer field

More kiddos in class

Island we passed after the village; the islands in Phang Nga Bay are uninhabited except for park rangers b/c it is a protected national park area

The islands are limestone and are slowly wearing away at the base by the ocean

You can see the island wearing away and the green, green ocean

This is right by James Bond Island, where we stopped and walked around

Me with the rock I got mama on James Bond Island

Back on the junk, Tony smiles as we pass more lovely islands

From here out, it's shots of the lovely limestone islands in Phang Nga Bay; enjoy!

Oh my cats!! They have a 100s math chart just like the one I have in my classroom! That is too cool. And those limestone islands are amazing. I'll use some of those photos in my science unit on landforms and erosion. And my rock!!! Thank you!
I am so glad you had such a good time.
love, MAMA
